Earthquakes in the USSR from 1962 to 1991

Catalogues of earthquakes occured at the seismoactive regions of the USSR are compiled on the base of the yearbooks "Earthquakes in the USSR, 1962" - "Earthquakes in the USSR, 1991", which have been published under the editorship of N.V.Kondorskaya et al. in "Nauka" press in Moscow beginning from 1964 to 1997.

The regional catalogues include the hypocenter parameters - geographical coordinates, depth, time, as well as energetic class and magnitude. Data on seismic events are arranged chronologically in catalogs for each seismic region.

The division of the territory of the USSR into seismoactive regions represented on the map. Each region assigned a number and letter code provided in the table below. There's also shows the number of events in regional catalogue and file size.

Catalogs in electronic form are prepared in the World Data Center for Solid Earth Physics.

Catalogs for all regions have the same format.

Data Format    (.pdf)

The catalog for each region can be downloaded entirely (in ASCII), using the tablegiven below. It is possible to select data on earthquakes, using
